All About
Trinity Preschool

At Trinity Learning Center we provide
children everything they need to succeed in school, knowing
that children are learning when they are playing. Math,
reading and science are all there naturally.
Activities include circle times, music,
sand and water play. Art and literature are very important
parts of our day. With
our large yard, we are able to enjoy a variety of gross motor
activities such as tricycle riding, running, playing ball and
climbing.
Gardening is prominently featured and
children eat the carrots and tomatoes they grow. They have also made carrot cake
and pumpkin pie from their harvest. Cooking projects are
excellent for understanding math concepts.
Our activities revolve around a different
curriculum theme each month. For example, during the summer when some families
are traveling, we have a transportation theme. We ask them
how their family travels, and make a big picture graph (math!)
showing how many children have been on a boat or a plane or a
car or a bicycle. We also include maps in this theme, finding
where we live and where we travel. Our songs, books, art
projects and outside play will all involve transportation. We
save large boxes and the children paint them (art!) and transform
them into buses, trains and cars. Then they can sit in
the bus they made and sing, “The Wheels on the Bus”. We
also take the opportunity to talk about safety in this theme,
such as being careful of cars when you cross the street.
It is our goal to give children a love
of school and a strong desire to learn about everything around
them. By the time
our students head for kindergarten, they’ve gained knowledge
of letters and numbers and of course, the life cycle of a butterfly…but
they had fun learning it all!
Our Spiritual Perspective:
There is no religious
instruction at Trinity Learning Center. We treat all our children
and their families with love, kindness, patience and respect.
This is the essence of our mission. Everyone of every race,
religion, age and orientation is a child of God.
